Sometimes I say things that give people the wrong impression. I am often critical of the Christian Church, but I also claim to be a Christian. In my mind, being a Christian means following the teachings of Jesus Christ, and I am sorry that so many churches fail to do just that. So to clarify where I stand on this topic, this is my Statement of Faith. Statement of Faith
1. Truth is not exclusive to any one religion. Truth is, and that is all it needs to be.
2. I believe in the One God, the Creator of the Universe. God is One - the Trinity is three aspects of God in the same way that each of us is one person with a body, mind, and spirit.
God, the Father - The Supreme Universal Consciousness – (Mind).
God, the Son - God in the Flesh; Jesus Christ - (Body).
The Holy Spirit - The Universal Subconscious – (Spirit).
3. I believe that God is Self-Existent, Infinite, and Eternal.
4. I believe that God created the Universe and that God exists within and throughout His Creation. He is not an old man who sits upon a throne in heaven, taking attendance in church on Sundays. God is not in the image of Man. He is All and in All.
5. I believe God is an Infinite Perfect Being and therefore incapable of creating anything less than perfect. Limitation is not the same as imperfection. All of God's creation is perfect and works exactly as He designed it to work. Evil is not a thing, it is an effect - the same way that Light is a thing, and Darkness is not; darkness is merely the absence of Light.
6. I believe that God created Man “in His image” to be a part of His perfect Creation. I believe that God plans to create His Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, and Man plays a very important role in that plan.
7. I believe that Man is more important than we know, but less important than we think. God is the Creator of Worlds; He does not concern Himself with the trivial minutiae of our daily lives – He has better things to do. However, because our role in the Divine Plan is so significant, God created the universe in such a way that it is designed to provide for us everything we need. Jesus said:
"And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." ~ Matthew 21:22
8. I believe that Man has repeatedly failed to fulfill his role due to disbelief in, and misunderstanding of, God's message. This is what sin is. It was for this reason that God manifested Himself in physical form as Jesus Christ and proved to us in physical form that His Promises are real and not merely symbolic as some would have us believe.
9. I believe that Jesus Christ fully understood God's plan; and that He carefully built His church to teach His message. He taught His Disciples how to heal and instructed them to cast out devils and cure disease as demonstrable proof of the Truth of His teachings. He specifically told them to "go forth preaching the Kingdom of God is at hand".
10. I believe that through careful study and practice of Christ's message, we open ourselves to receive all the gifts promised in the Bible. Not only can we eliminate poverty, disease, and suffering for ourselves and others, but we can receive all of God's promises, including immortality. Christ lived His life in such a way to show us that right living can be done, and will result in immortality. He proved it by doing it.
11. It is my purpose and mission to do as Jesus instructed His Disciples to do:
“Then he called his twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1-2)
"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. ... And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."
(Matthew 10:1, 7 – 8)
12. I believe that Man is currently headed in the wrong direction; that recent history indicates that we must change the way we think and do things. I believe it is time for a new beginning. Furthermore, I do not pray to, or give devotion to idols, people, angels, prophets, or "graven images"; I reserve my worship for the One God, and only the One God, just like Jesus did.
Everyone is free to worship whomever they choose, in whatever manner they choose. It is not for me to decide what brings you closer to God. My work is to do my part to fulfill my role in God's Divine Plan. Part of that role is showing you how to follow along and explain to you why it is so important.
